Information Protection and Security

In an effort to support the joint effort of the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security, Federal Trade Commission, the National Association of State Chief Information Officers, Educause and numerous other organizations, Information Protection and Security, a division of the Rutgers University Office of Information Technology (OIT), celebrates October as National Cyber Security Awareness month.

This year we focused on email compromise and phishing with a student created public service announcement on RU-tv, posters and resource tables in central locations during the month, and a TV interview with our own Director. Faculty, staff and students had questions answered at local student centers and other locations where information tables were set-up with unique give-aways for those stopping-by.
