Open Proxy

An open proxy is used to disguise the real source of network connections, and often for sending out spam.
This can be accomplished through the unauthorized installation of proxy software, without the knowledge or consent of the host owner.
See Open Proxies for information, especially the sections on Securing Open Proxies and the overview on Spam Trojans. See also the DSBL Test Program Suite.
