National Cyber Security Awareness Month

last modified 2007-10-26 10:53

Thanks for taking part in National Cyber Security Awareness Month '07 with us. This year was celebrated with support from RUTV, Cisco Systems, the FBI, The Daily Targum and our own faculty, staff and students. We posted flyers on FaceBook, posters on all campuses, gave out IT security pocket cards, and had information tables on campuses. We were lucky enough to have the FBI session on cyber space threats broadcast by and archived on RUTV for more students to take advantage of. The Targum did a great job in reporting the session and added best practices for keeping computers and your identity secure. Jason Siggins, a student from the Livingston Campus, won an mp3 player just for being there. The university's tech staff took advantage of the Cisco presentation on managing compliance issues. Thanks to all for contributing and joining us.
