National Cyber Security Awareness Month

last modified 2008-07-29 09:50

National Cyber Security Month will again be celebrated in October.

This year we'll focus on Department IT Security with postcards to faculty and staff highlighting best practices in IT security.  We'll also be distributing pocket cards reminding everyone to stop, think, and secure information technology.  Faculty, staff and students can have questions answered at local student centers and other central locations where information tables will be set-up with unique give-aways for those stopping-by.

In an effort to support the joint effort of the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security, Federal Trade Commission, the National Association of State Chief Information Officers, Educause and numerous other organizations, Information Protection and Security, a division of the Office of Information Technology (OIT), will celebrate October as National Cyber Security Awareness month.
